Our Story

We've always loved coffee.  In fact, our first several months of dating revolved around weekly coffee dates where I'd prepare lesson plans for my high schoolers, and my husband worked on his master's program.  Coffee unites people.  And a good cup of coffee gives that bit of energy and inspiration when you need it.

My husband worked the late shift for a time, and still wanted to get up early to see the kids out the door in the morning. We'd recently invested in a home espresso machine, so my bringing him the double espresso each day got him out of bed with a sleepy smile.  

When we settled on our goal of opening a coffee business, we taste-tested many varieties of coffee beans until we found one that tastes good even with no frills, delicious as a simple, double espresso.
